Hi, Hello Davy ! How are you? Last night, your CD arrived !!! Thank you so so so much !! At my home, it is among heavy rotation now. My wife is also very pleased and excited. Of course, me too. Especially, "Fallen" & "Death From Above" Splendid, I think so.

I wish many people have a chance to listen to your nice music all over the world.

Fkin hell Dave its brill! The production is spot on, so bright & piercing, & the songs are great too, variation from one to the other.

And I can't fault the quality of the musicianship, everyone is OUTSTANDING!!

I honestly love it all & Fallen is my favourite, but there's certain things that make it extra pleasurable to me. The staccato riff that starts Stone cold & keeps popping up in it, I cant get it outa my head ha ha! And the lyrics to Just a man are brill, very believable! And I adore the soft start to The War Hound & the way it lights & shades throughout - magnificent! Aw & Pat's ...Of Time And Stars is just so soothing & comes just at the right time in the disc.

You got a winner there buddy, no shadow of a doubt!

What a superb album guys! I met up again with Tony after not seeing him for around 30 years when we were both teenagers playing the rock circuit around the North East (I was one of the guitarists for HotSpanna along with Les Wheatcroft).

Tony your voice is amazing now. All the musicians in the band seem to have superb talent as well. As a fellow guitar player, I definitely have to congratulate Dave and Pat for some totally excellent guitar playing. Solid rhythm and fluent melodic technical lead. The guitar solo in Fallen is EPIC! Solid drums and bass as well! Well sorted band ...

Definitely reminded me of how Rainbow should have progressed (saw them on their first tour at Manchester Free Trade Hall back in the 70's). It is quite refreshing to hear heavy metal where you can actually listen to and comprehend the lyrics (call me old fashioned but I do like to hear the words!). This attribute, together with the power of Tony's voice makes him just the perfect lead singer for this Genre of music.

Hope to hear more of this band in the future and would love to see them perform live somewhere ... yes I would drive all the way from Bristol again to the North East just to see this band play live!

After many attempts I've finally given the whole cd a listen and let me tell you...Cross & Claw is an incredible album!! It's got that classic metal sound that I love so much (and I heard splashes of early Rainbow...mainly in Fallen (reference to Rainbow I mean as a compliment in the highest regards)). Every track on this album is awesome...it's a perfect album! Quite obviously you guys are top notch musicians and it shines through on this album. And the singer...he is superb! Somebody else mentioned (and I agree) that he has this Dio/Tony Martin sound and I would agree that he is a powerhouse singer. After this album - it would be a shame if we never heard from Lies Of Smiles again

Cross & claw just arrived. If the word EPIC was to be carved from 100ft high obelisks, then carried on the backs of ten thousand druidic slaves for nine hundred miles, erected at a cliff overlooking the Gobi desert and worshipped by seven million onlookers, then that might get close to a suitable phrase to describe Cross & Claw. This CD has lifted the bar so high for our “local bands” (North East and in fact the metal community of bands UK) they must have looked up shook their fucking heads and had a bit of a cry! Awesome! Can we have another please!

Got the cd’s in my mail. Thanks for it. Really excellent music. This is what metal should be about! Music that should be felt down your belly (like Biff Byford expressed it at concerts).

Vocals also great …. A mixture of Jorn Lande, Tony Martin (at his Sabbath times) and the mighty but dearly missed Dio.
